When i first got into the hobby, I like most people starting out by purchasing guppies as a starter fish. After some time passed, I ended up with hundreds of them. My tank became very close to being seriously overcrowded, but i managed to give away most of them to the lfs. I was left with around 40-50 of them. I was determined that there would never be a repeat of this uncontrolled breeding so i purchased some clown loaches to eat the guppy fry. And it worked. So through time the population has dropped steady until now I'm down to my last guppy, I do feel kinda sorry for him because he has no other guppies to swim with . But i will not buy any more guppies ever again. And if you take my advice you won't either. Bloody things breed like rabbits.
